At the centre of the research are three choreographic experiments that Ronja Römmelt created during her stay at the Cité inernationale universitaire with residents of the Fondation Suisse, the Maison du Mexique and the Maison du Japon.

The goals of the three experimental set-ups was to get to the bottom of the following questions: When do we perceive the movement compositions of a habit? How do we describe the perception of the movement compositions? And how do we create new movement compositions for new habits? Each of the three choreographic experiments focuss on a different aspect.

The results of the three choreographic experimental set-ups will be presented for the first time in June 2024 as part of a solo exhibition at the Fondation Suisse / Pavillon Le Corbusier in Paris (F).

The exhibition project Motion in Habits - Habits in Motion uses socio-anthropological and choreographic / dance-artistic approaches to examine how we perceive, adapt, create and change movement habits in everyday life in interaction with architectural objects. In particular, the exhibition places the movement compositions that underlie our habits at the centre of our perception. In this way, the project complements the numerous existing explorations of the topic of "habit" with a movement-based perspective and uses creative approaches to pose the question of the extent to which the familiar can be set in motion on an individual and societal level.
